July Blog Update

I hope that the past month has treated you well. It has rained sooooo much at my home that we are under almost constant flood watch. The good news is, the rainy weather has made for good writing time.

Speaking of writing. I’m making excellent progress on book 3. I am officially more than halfway through the first draft! YAY! I still have the hope and plan to finish by the time book 2 releases September 30th! Oops, did I just accidentally tell you the official release date? 😉

What's happening next?

You may remember that I was signed up to attend the Tremendicon in Springfield Missouri May 29th – 31st. It was a blast! I sold a lot of books and I dressed up in full Orlonian fashion. Check me out!

I also added some amazing indie books to my collection/out of control TBR pile 🤣 I also got a few cute little trinkets too. I can't wait for the next immersive book singing event...hmmm, is there one planned? I wonder. 

My current read:

I just finished an audiobook called “Sabre: The Shattered Oath” by C.S. Wood.

This is a gothic pirate adventure story mixed with a steampunk feel. Overall, it was quite good, and I do recommend you give it a read I you like pirates, open seas adventure, and political intrigue! I give it overall a 4* rating.

Personal life update:

June was a very busy month for my family. We went on 2 camping and float trips and I also had a weekend getaway with my horse where we attnended an obstacle course clinic. It was loads of fun!

On June 13th I celebrated not only my birthday but the 1-year anniversary of the publish and release of Curse of the Gifted! I cannot believe it has been a year already and my second book is about to drop!!!! It’s so surreal. I still somedays need to pinch myself to believe I’m actually a published author with not only one book out but one on presale, and I'm in the process of writing a third book! CRAZY SAUCE!
