June Blog Update

 Writing Update:

Book 2: "The Lost Ones" is completely finished. The proof came in last week, and it looks great! It's ready for its release day September 30th!

Book 3 is about 50% finished and so far it is exceeding my expectations. I have always worried, from the start, that the series would lose its traction and/or impact as the story progressed, as many trilogies do. But I am confident at this point that it is just as fun, impactful, and epic as the first 2 books, and the finale is shaping up better than I ever hoped and imagined. As my loyal subscribers you will be the first to receive updates, sneak peaks, and ARCs for the finale in the Twin Kingdoms: "Unbroken Hearts."

What’s to come:

In May I will be doing one last giveaway for a signed copy of Curse of the Gifted along with an audiobook on my Tik Tok platform. If you want a free copy for yourself then please enter the giveaway for your chance to win! It’s a lot of fun 😊

May 29-31: I will be attending a three-day Multi-Media Creators Convention held at the Oasis Hotel & Convention Center in Springfield, Missouri. The entire weekend serves as a playground for creativity and collaboration, put on by creators, for creators, and for the people who love enjoying those tremendous creations. From hands-on activities to engaging panels and performances, the event celebrates the passion and energy behind making things together. If you’re around, please come see me and all the other authors, artists, and artisans.

You can find more information about the event here: https://tremendicon.com

Personal life update:

My husband, daughter, and I went to see the play Wicked last weekend and it was awesome. I saw it about 10 years ago and loved it then too. If you haven’t seen it then I highly recommend it.

The weather has been absolutely gorgeous the past month and I’ve gotten a lot of riding in with my amazing horse Baelfire. He got to try on his Solstice costume the other day. (pictured at the top) He is not a fan lol but he was a trooper and tolerated it.

My current read is an indie book called “The Edge of Justice” by Robert Rabello. It’s a bit different than my usual type of read but very interesting so far.

Question to the reader:

I asked this on my TikTok last month and just in case you missed it. I am curious. If you could have only one magical ability, which of these 3 would you want?

Healing Magic

Conjuring Magic

Shapeshifting

Answer in the comments!

My answer: I would choose shapeshifting. I’ve always wanted to experience the world and life as other animals.
